Pollinator-friendly 2017 All-America Selections National Flower Winners
Brighten your garden and containers and bring in the pollinators with these 2017 All-America Selections national flower winners.
Plant the 31 to 40” tall Asian Garden celosia in the garden or mixed border. You’ll enjoy the bushy plants topped by rose-colored flower spikes adding vertical interest to the garden.
Add season long color and durability with EnduraScape™ Pink Bicolor verbena. This adaptable plant tolerates heat, drought and temperatures in the low teens. Use it along the edge of a path or garden, in containers and hanging baskets.
Include another low-growing winner, Interspecific Supra Pink Dianthus, in the garden or container. The mottled pink flowers cover the plant from spring through frost with no deadheading needed. This compact plant is also heat and drought tolerant.
A bit more information: Calliope® Medium Dark Red is another 2017 national winner with pollinator appeal. The deep red blossoms top a compact mounded plant.
