  • Darwin - best known of the late tulips, 24 to 32 inches tall
  • Lily flowered type - pointed and reflexed petals, 24 inches tall
  • Cottage type - egg shaped, 12 to 30 inches tall, found in cottage gardens of France and England
  • Rembrandt type - broken flower color, painted by old Masters
  • Parrot type - fringed petals, often shredded, scallped or wavy; large flowers need protection from wind
  • Double late type - peony flowered, 16 to 24 inches tall
