Goldilocks Squash

Add the All-America Selections 2021 winner Goldilocks Squash to your wish list for next year’s garden.

This orange acorn squash is a vigorous grower, yielding an abundant harvest of ten or more sweet nutty flavored fruits per plant. It is a compact variety growing about four to five feet in diameter, making it perfect for those with limited space.

All-America Selections is a non-profit trialing organization that names only new, non-GMO varieties as winners.  Entries are evaluated for their flavor, beauty, and performance in home gardens. Judges across the United States and Canada gave Goldilocks winter squash rave reviews, including “the flavor was more robust and the color very attractive! Perfect for a meal and continuous yield.”

And even those that don’t like to eat winter squash will want to include the bright orange fruit in their fall displays.

A bit more information:  Be sure to check out all the AAS winners when ordering your seeds. Sugaretti is a compact semi bush spaghetti squash that only grows two feet wide.  Butterscotch butternut squash is another compact winter squash. Both are the perfect size for small space and container gardeners.
