Windowsill Herb Garden

Spice up your winter meals with fresh herbs harvested right from your windowsill.

Chives, oregano, basil, or parsley are a few of choices for your indoor herb garden.

Select a container with drainage holes and a saucer to protect your window sill from water damage. I often use a placement cut to fit for added protection.

Fill your container with any well drained potting mix. Arrange the plants before planting according to color, size, and appearance.

Water the soil thoroughly after planting and whenever the top few inches are slightly moist.

Place in a sunny window and add artificial light if needed or desired.

Harvest from your window sill herbs as needed.
