No Repeat Bloom of Roses

I have a rose bush that gets tons of roses early in the summer (late spring) and then does not get any more.  I have been pinching off the dead roses, but it still does not like to re-bloom.   What am I doing wrong?

The problem is not with the care you are providing but rather the type of rose you are growing.  Many species and older garden roses are one time bloomers.  Stop deadheading so the rose hips develop and add color for the fall and winter garden.  Then consider adding a few summer and fall blooming perennials, colorful annuals or repeat blooming roses if you want additional seasonal color in that area of your landscape.
