Cactus and Cocktails

Dress up your next event with a few cleaver cacti and succulent containers.

Fill cocktail glasses with a cactus potting mix, add succulents and place one next to each guest’s place setting. This makes a unique table decoration and party favor for guests to take home as a reminder of your fun gathering.

Fill a shallow ceramic pot with a variety of cacti and succulents to use as a centerpiece on the dining or serving table. After the party continue to provide proper care and your centerpiece is ready for your next event.

Create terrariums in small open glass containers.  Hang them from nearby trees or under your umbrella for added eye level beauty. Just be sure to take them out of harm’s way when the party’s over.

Surprise your guests. Replace one plate of appetizers with a serving tray or two filled with succulents.

A bit more information: For vertical interest use small specimens of agave, aloe or haworthia. Echeveria’s rosette of colorful leaves provide bold texture while the finer leaves of Angelina sedums make great fillers. The possibilities are endless.
