Well Behaved Bamboo

I recently saw you on Morning Blend and you were talking about a bamboo. Is it hardy to zone 5? Can you tell me more about the plant?

This new release from Monrovia is Sunset Glow Bamboo (Fargesia rufa). It is a clump former that will not take over your garden. It can grow to 8 feet tall and does best in partial shade with moist soils. It provides a nice vertical accent in large or small gardens and can provide a tropical or Oriental feel to even a Midwest garden. It is hardy in zones 5 to 9.
