Using Dehumidifier Water

I saw you recommended using dehumidifier water to water plants.  I'd always thought that dehumidifier water lacked essential nutrients for the plants. Could you please clarify?

Water is the carrier not the source of nutrients into and through the plant.  The nutrients in the soil, organic matter and fertilizer are dissolved in the water and enter the plant roots.  Once inside, the plant moves the nutrients where needed.  Water is also a key ingredient in the process of photosynthesis. Remember high school biology?  Carbon dioxide and water with the help of chloroplasts and the sun's energy create the energy needed for plant growth.  The chlorine and fluoride added to tap water is for our benefit not the plant's.
