Spindly Morning Glory Vines
I plant morning glory but they always seem spindly, not very lush. They get flowers but the leaves seem to yellow early and fall off from the bottom of the plant up. I've read not to fertilize them causing more foliage and less blooms. I haven't seen any bugs to cause problems and I plant 4 or 5 plants together. Is there a trick to getting them looking lush and healthy?
Try growing morning glories in a sunnier and well-drained location. If this doesn't improve the growth - have your soil tested. The results will tell you what if anything you need to add. Following soil test recommendation will help you avoid over fertilization that can lead to lots of leaves and no flowers.
