Pruning Honeysuckle Vine

My honeysuckle vine is outgrowing its trellis.  Can I cut it back?

Mature honeysuckle vines often need pruning to keep them contained.  Renovate overgrown plants in early spring.  Prune the old stems back to two feet above the ground.  Thin the new growth as needed.
