Growing Maltese Cross

I am interested in growing Maltese Cross. Is there any special care I need to give it?

Maltese cross, Lychnis chalcedonica, is native to Russia and hardy in zones 3 o 9. This perennial is relatively easy to grow in full sun and most soils. Avoid wet areas and poorly drained soils that tend to shorten its lifespan. This perennial self seeds readily resulting in plenty of seedlings to grow and share. Avoid early season cultivation that tends to “weed out” the seedlings. Letting nature do the work is an easy way to propagate this plant. You can dig and divide your existing plant in early spring or late summer to expand your planting.
