Clove Currant

I have a bush that blooms in the spring with small yellow flowers and fills the air with a wonderful cinnamon fragrance. Do you know what this is?

Clove currant (Ribes odoratum) is a beautiful shrub native from South Dakota to Minnesota and south to western Texas, Arkansas and into Mexico. The fragrant yellow flowers top blue-green leaves that turn yellow in the fall. This adaptable plant is good in sun or shade and is hardy in zones 4 to 6 and sometimes 7. Avoid using this plant near white pines since it is an alternate host of the deadly disease white pine blister rust.
