Clematis Stops Blooming Mid Summer

My clematis is loaded with beautiful flowers until midsummer, then it stops blooming. It's already in an area that gets a lot of sun. How can I extend its flowering season?

Clematis plants prefer full sun and cool moist soil.  Since you already provide a sunny spot, try mulching the area around the plant with evergreen needles, shredded leaves or other organic materials. This will help keep the roots cool and moist.
