Brighten your holidays with a white poinsettia.

Alaska is one of the whitest poinsettias on the market. Poinsettia’s true flowers are the small round structures tucked in the middle of the colorful bracts we call flowers. Alaska’s dark green oak shaped leaves really make the paper white bracts shine.

Alpina is a smaller more compact version of Alaska and new for 2020.

You might have an easier time finding Whitestar a favorite among growers and retailers. Its large white bracts are very showy and often painted or glittered for a twist on tradition.

Polar Bear white poinsettia was introduced over a decade ago. The green veins on some of the lower white bracts show through providing added interest.

Visit your local garden center or florist to find these and other unique poinsettias for the holidays. Those specializing in new introductions are more likely to sell these.

A bit more information:  If you like red poinsettias but are looking for something more unique, try Winter Rose with shorter red bracts (that we often call flowers) that curl under. Or Christmas Mouse with more rounded red bracts that resemble mouse ears.
