Make every occasion special by designing and growing container gardens for summer holidays, weddings, anniversary parties or other special celebrations.
Start by picking a color scheme appropriate for the occasion or a variety of colors and shapes sure to add a festive touch. Red, white and blue combinations are often used for the fourth of July. Gold is always a great choice when celebrating anniversaries, golden birthdays or any special occasion.
Use flower colors or containers of your favorite team when hosting a sports event. Add to the festivities by growing them in a football-, baseball- or soccer-shaped planter.
And look for more opportunities to brighten any outdoor experience. Set containers at your front entrance to welcome family and guests. Use smaller containers to line a pathway, decorate each table or give away as party favors.
A bit more information: Dress up existing containers with dried or silk materials, garden art and colorful squash and pumpkins. Switch these out with the change of seasons to keep your containers looking festive throughout the growing season.
