- Varieties
- Large flowered hybrids - 2 to 5 feet tall, long flower spikes, large flowers and a variety of colors
- Miniature and Butterfly - 1.5 to 4 feet tall, many flowers/stem, often ruffled, reproduce slowly
- Primulinus - 1.5 to 3 feet tall, large flowers, more graceful habit
