Pumpkin Decorations
Pumpkins are moving off the front porch and into the garden and onto our dining room tables.
Use pumpkins and decorative squash to add color, replace fading summer annuals and fill voids in the garden.
Remove the top, scoop out the insides and turn your pumpkin into a fall planter. Fill with pansies, mums or other colorful annuals.
Turn small pumpkins into containers and serve up your favorite fall soup. Or fill with a tasty vegetable or fruit dip as part of your relish or fruit tray.
Convert larger pumpkins into a keg style beverage dispenser for juices, punches or cocktails. Cut off the top, scoop out the insides and leave a bit of extra flesh on the bottom for stability. Then pop in the Watermelon Keg Tap and fill with your favorite beverage. Your guests, young and old, will have fun filling their glasses from your pumpkin keg.
A bit more information: And don’t discard those seeds when turning your pumpkin into a planter or beverage dispenser. Instead clean and roast them for a tasty treat.
