DIY Bird Seed Wreath to Keep or Give as Gifts
Create a few birdseed wreaths to add to your bird feeding station or give as gifts.
You need 9 cups of birdseed, 3 blocks of rendered suet, ½ cup of peanut butter, dried fruits and berries for each wreath.
Melt the rendered suet over low heat. Stir often and make sure it doesn’t boil. Mix in the peanut butter and remove from heat once it is melted and thoroughly mixed with the suet. Then add the birdseed and mix thoroughly.
Coat a bundt pan or other item you’re using to mold birdseed wreath with a cooking spray. Fill the bottom of the pan with fruit and berries. Then slowly pour the suet mix into the pan.
Place the pan in a cool location, like your refrigerator, to harden. Once hardened, you can remove it from the pan.
Loop a ribbon or twine through the middle and your wreath is complete.
Store in cellophane bag in a cool location until it is needed.
