Structure in the Landscape

Include arbors, trellises and other structures when designing a new landscape or updating an existing garden. These structures provide a long-lasting framework, year-round interest and years of beauty and function.

Use arbors to define and connect distinct areas of the landscape. Invite visitors into your yard with a vine-covered arbor.

Dress up bare walls on your house, garage or shed with wall mounted trellises. Select from simple squares and diamonds to more intricate designs of interlocking circles, leaves or branches.

Use obelisks as focal points in the garden or containers. They provide immediate height that is often needed before new plantings reach their mature size. Expand edible planting opportunities by growing watermelons, cucumbers or tomatoes on attractive supports in flowerbeds and mixed borders.

A bit more information: Select a support tall enough for the plants you are growing.  Make sure the vines are able to climb or anchor to the structure. Or secure the stems to the support as needed.
