Quick and Easy 4th of July Garden Ideas
The 4th of July is just a few days away and you never did get those containers and gardens planted with red, white and blue flowers. Fortunately, there are some quick and easy options to decorate your landscape for the holiday.
Paint a few stars on the lawn with grass safe marking chalk. Just create cardboard stencils and head out to the lawn. Check the label of the paint you select to make sure it is safe to use on grass plants.
While you are out buying paint, stop by your local garden center. Many sell large annuals perfect for creating a last minute patriotic container.
Place red, white and blue bandanas or placemats under container gardens. The extra color will add a festive touch to containers filled with herbs and leafy tropical plants. Use smaller pots and decorative placemats as centerpieces for the table.
Or pop a flag or two in your gardens and containers!
A bit more information: Set one of your existing containers in a red, white or blue pot. If the color scheme works use one of each and set them on the front steps to greet your guests as they arrive.
