Quick and Affordable Entryway Makeovers
Create a colorful welcome for family and guests with a little paint, pretty welcome mat and container of seasonal flowers.
Revive a tired door with a fresh coat of paint or stain. Newer products are more durable, fast drying and make this an easy fix.
Or dress up your door with a wreath. Silk daffodil and tulip flowers in a basket or on a grape vine wreath make a beautiful display. Or how about some colorful seed packets with ribbon? These are great ways to welcome your guests in spring.
Set a container filled with spring flowering bulbs and annuals on the front steps. Tulips and daffodils combine nicely with pansies, Nemesia, snapdragons, Bright Lights Swiss chard, ornamental kale and more. As the flowers fade, replace them with some warm season annuals and tropicals. Provide a bit of aromatherapy by including a few fragrant hyacinths and stocks in your spring planter.
A bit more information: When you are ready to invest a bit more time, edge, weed and mulch your planting beds, and prune or replace overgrown shrubs. You will be amazed at the impact these efforts have on your overall landscape.
