National Camera Day: Capture Your Garden’s Beauty

June 29th is National Camera Day, so grab your favorite camera, cell phone or tablet and head to the garden.

Snap a few overall shots of the landscape and closeups of your favorite flowers.  Then sit and wait for the birds, bees and butterflies to stop by for a visit. Try capturing a few pictures of these winged visitors.

Take a walk through the neighborhood or visit a public garden filled with beautiful flowers and creative plant combinations.  Then try capturing the majesty and beauty of a few mature trees.  Take a few closeups of the furrowed bark, roots and leaves.

Photographs are a great way to record our successes and failures as well as design ideas to help with future planning.  But they also make great gifts. Create a calendar of your best shots. Or print and frame a picture of a beautiful flower.

Most of all enjoy your day in nature.

A bit more information:  Preserving your garden images and creating gifts has never been so easy.  Websites help you preserve your images on clothing, bags, blankets, shower curtains or more. It’s time to get busy capturing your garden’s beauty!
