Low Maintenance, Shade Tolerant Spring Planted Bulbs

Include low maintenance spring planted calla lilies, caladiums and elephant ears in shade gardens and containers. They’ll keep your gardens looking their best even in fall when many annuals are starting to decline.

The unique calla lily flowers add elegance to the early season garden while the speckled foliage continues brightening those shady spots all season long.

Add some color and plenty of wow factor with the foliage of caladiums and elephant ears.

Use caladiums to brighten containers, dress up window boxes or edge a shady pathway. The colorful leaves stand out amongst the greens of the shade garden.

Create a tropical paradise on the patio, deck or pool area with the help of the large heart shaped leaves of elephant ears.  Plant one, two or more to create an impressive welcome for guests or a bold statement in the landscape.

A bit more information: These tropical beauties thrive when soil and air temperatures are warm.  Wait for the danger of frost to pass and the soil to warm, 65 to 70 degrees, before planting them in the garden.
