A bit more information:  Dahlias make a great low maintenance addition to gardens. Just plant the tuberous root in a sunny, well-drained location, once the soil has warmed to about 60 degrees. Don’t plant them too early though as dahlias won’t grow in cold soil and the leaves can be damaged by frost.
