Tulip Flowers Fade Out Quickly

I only have one type of tulip (pink) and it seems to lose its blooms after only 7-10 days.   That seems rather quick, especially when I see other people's tulips lasting much longer.  They are in a south facing location.  Would it help to move them or should I just discard these and get others?

Weather, location and the variety of tulip can influence the length of the blooming period.  Warm weather and bulbs growing in warmer locations bloom for fewer days than during a cool spring or when planted in a cooler location in the landscape.  Some varieties will last slightly longer than others.  Some springs my tulips seem to bloom out faster than usual.  You may want to move your tulips to an east facing or cooler spot in your landscape to see if this helps.
