Starting Amaranth From Seed

I want to plant some amaranth seeds. How can I assure a healthy crop of flowers?

Amaranths are tropical plants that prefer full sun. They can tolerate a wide range of soil conditions but prefer moist well-drained soil. Start seeds indoors 3 to 4 weeks prior to the last spring frost for an earlier bloom outdoors. Or plant the seeds directly in the garden after the danger of frost has past. With the proper spacing and sufficient space you will be rewarded with beautiful foliage and flowers.
