Spring Flowering Shrubs Blooming in Fall

My forsythia, lilacs and bridal wreath spirea each had a few blooms this fall. Will this kill the plant?

No. Fall flowering often occurs when we have extreme temperature fluctuations, droughts or other stressful conditions. The fall blooming will not affect the health of the plant just reduce the number of blossoms next spring.
