No Flowers or Fruit on Pecan Trees
About 6 years ago, I planted two self-pollinating pecan trees. Though the trees are growing well, they have yet to produce any pecans, or blooms for that matter!
Patience is the answer to your problem. All plants need to reach a mature state to flower and fruit. For nut trees, including pecans (hardy zones 6 to 9) that can be as many as 10 to 20 years. Mulch the soil around the tree and water thoroughly when needed. This proper care and a few more years will result in a many more years of bountiful harvests of tasty pecans to for you to enjoy and share.
