Lower Leaves of Poinsettia Turned Yellow and Fell Off

This year the lower leaves of my poinsettias turned yellow and fell off.

It is often difficult for greenhouse plants to adjust to the less than ideal growing conditions of our homes.  Start by removing or punching holes in the decorative foil. I have found too many poinsettias drowning in water filled foil wrap.  Fold down the edges of the foil to allow light to reach the leaves.  Avoid drafts of hot and cold air.  This and low humidity can cause leaves and flowers to drop.   Water frequently enough to keep the soil evenly moist but not wet.
