Lack of Flowers on Nasturtium

I can never get nasturtiums to do well in my garden. The blooms are sparse and never last.

The old saying, “Be nasty to your nasturtiums”, is certainly true. Too much TLC in the form of fertilizer will result in large leafy plants and very few flowers. Excessive heat can temporarily stall flower production while excess shade can diminish the flowering display. A few minor changes in the planting site or care can result in an abundance of bloom.
