How Long Will it Take for Miscanthus to Reach Mature Height Each Season?
Could you please tell me how long it will take for an established clump of Miscanthus sinensis "Silberfelder" (Silver Feather) to reach its full height each summer?
The old saying about perennials "the first year they sleep, second year they creep and third year they leap" applies to the ornamental grasses as well. Weather and soil will affect establishment and yearly growth, but you should see a good size plant by the third summer.
