Honeysuckle with Powdery Mildew

I have a honeysuckle with powdery mildew. It is in full sun. What do I do? It was like this last year also.

Blame it on the weather. Powdery mildew is a common problem during times of fluctuating humidity and drought. Some plants like lilacs, bee balm, phlox and zinnia seem to get the disease every year. Plants grown in full sun with adequate space for good air circulation are less likely to develop the disease. Try thinning out a few of the older stems to increase the light and air reaching all parts of the plant. Remove and destroy infected leaves whenever possible. A change in the weather and pruning may be enough to reduce future problems with powdery mildew on your honeysuckle.
