Growing Forget-Me-Not
I’d like to plant some forget-me-nots in my garden. Can you tell me how to grow these flowers?
Select one of several species of Forget-me-nots (Myosotis) for you garden. Make sure the species you select is not invasive to your region. Forget-me-nots generally prefer light shade and must have shelter from the hot afternoon sun in warmer regions. Forget-me-nots naturally grow in moist areas along ponds and streams. Select a site with moist well-drained soils. Avoid rich soils that will promote larger plants and fewer flowers. These plants do well in a woodland setting, next to water or in a rock garden when moisture is plentiful.
