Growing Burning Bush
I live in the south and think burning bush plants are lovely. Can you tell me how to order one?
These colorful plants with their watermelon pink to bright red fall color certainly steal the show as the trees and shrubs color up throughout much of the country. The corky protrusions on the stems provide winter interest. The seasonal interest and hardiness, zones 4 to 8 sometimes 9, has made them a landscape favorite. Their adaptability has made them an invasive plant in many areas including the gulf coast. Avoid planting these near native areas where they can take over and crowd out natives. You might want to consider a native or another landscape plant that poses less of a threat to our native landscape. Local garden centers should be able to help you locate this and other landscape plants suitable for your area.
