Get Your Yucca to Flower

My yucca plants have never flowered. How can I get them to bloom?

Yucca's like full sun and warm weather. I find the best blooms occur when northern gardeners have a hot dry summer. We can’t change the weather but we can make sure we are doing everything right. Grow yuccas in full sun and avoid excess fertilizer. Too much nitrogen (the first number on the bag) encourages new growth but discourages flowering. Be patient. Older, established plants are more likely to bloom. Once established plants start flowering, you may notice the plant rests every other year. This is common. Though a lack of flowers is frustrating, once the blossoms and the hummingbirds they attract arrive it makes the wait worth while.
