Bitter Tasting Carrots

This past year my carrots came in very thick. I never got them thinned and they did sit in storage long enough to resprout. I was surprised to find these carrots tasted so bitter. Was it the carrots or care that made them so bitter?

Improper care and storage can result in poor quality and bitter tasting vegetables. Make sure your carrots are thinned and properly watered throughout the growing season. Store carrots in a cool humid location immediately after harvest.
