Bulbs Problems

This spring I planted 10 calla lilies. The plants are beautiful but only one of them blossomed. They are growing in good dark soil with afternoon sun. What did I do wrong?

I love calla lilies, so I was disappointed when mine came up, but didn’t bloom this spring. I fertilized them well, but the bulbs are a few years old. Could that be the problem?

It's the first time I have cannas in my garden, so this is new to me. Don't know if it's a problem - some of their leaves turn a rust color then fall off.  Can I stop it or is it natural?

I have an 8 year old Clivia miniata. It has not bloomed in the 3 years I have owned it. What do I need to do to get those beautiful orange flowers?

We have a variety of daffodils in our yard. Most usually bloom, but I’m wondering why some stems hold the flowers up well, while others droop and drag on the ground making it hard to appreciate the flowers. Is it a fertilization problem or something else?  These are mature plants.

Last summer I dug up my daffodils and broke the bulbs apart. I stored them in the basement and planted them in the fall. A lot of them are flowering nicely, but some are not at all – the leaves are green and healthy, but no flower.

My zinnias and gladiolas were quite spindly this year. The zinnias grew 5 feet tall and the gladiolas reached 6 feet.  The stems were so weak they could barely support the blooms, even with the help of stakes.

I planted 75 new gladiolus bulbs in spring. There is good leaf growth but no flower spikes on any of the plants.

My hyacinths produce lots of green leaves each spring but no flowers. 

My irises come up each spring and produce nice green foliage. But they’ve never bloomed. What can I do to coax them into flowering?

Every winter I force paper white bulbs into bloom.  I love the fragrance but the plants grow tall and flop.  I heard adding gin to the water will help stunt their growth.  Is this true?

My Siberian iris plants are two years old and growing in a southeastern facing location. They have never bloomed. I heard irises are finicky.

I only have one type of tulip (pink) and it seems to lose its blooms after only 7-10 days.   That seems rather quick, especially when I see other people's tulips lasting much longer.  They are in a south facing location.  Would it help to move them or should I just discard these and get others?

I have a large number of tulips and usually they perform very well. This year, however, I tend to have quite a few that just formed a couple leaves but no flower.

What would cause my yellow tulips to develop red streaks?

Is it my imagination or do tulips revert back to yellow like other flowers? I’m trying to get different colored tulips to grow, but it seems they last for a season or so and then come up yellow again.
