Planting and Care

Does NOT tolerate poorly drained soils or "wet feet" in winter. In Zones 5 and 6 top growth will die back to the ground. Treat this shrub like a perennial and prune back top growth in late winter. Be patient, plants are slow to emerge from dormancy. This cultivar of butterfly bush is reportedly almost sterile, producing few seeds.
