Creeping Phlox

Every spring my creeping phlox looks great. Then as the flowers fade the foliage starts to decline and the plant looks bad. Any suggestions?
creeping_phlox_fade_foliagePrune back the plants about halfway once they finish blooming. This stimulates new green compact growth and often a few additional flowers. Older plants will get leggy and less attractive over time. Regular division every three or so years will help keep the plants looking good.
