Hand-pull from the garden, taking care to remove all roots and stems. If this does not work, spot treat with a total vegetation killer. Be sure to protect desirable plants.

Treat lawns with traditional broadleaf weed killers in fall after a hard frost, or in spring when plants are in full bloom. It takes several years to control these weeds and all their seeds in the soil.
