Annuals and Biennials Back to Ask Melinda

Plant Guide

Annuals complete their life, from seed to flower and death, in one growing season. Some perennial plants are treated like annuals in cold climates.

Biennials complete their life cycle in two growing seasons. The first year they produce leaves and the second year they flower, fruit and die.
