Winter Garden Tips
Scraps for the Birds
Convert kitchen scraps into birdfeeders.  Scoop out the remnants of your morning grapefruit or orange.  Punch holes in the rind and thread string or colorful yarn through the opening to create a hanger. Or tie a sling and place the rind securely inside.  Fill with birdfeed and hang outside for the birds to enjoy.  Or turn a stale bagel into a suet feeder.  Cover the bagel with peanut butter and roll in bird seed.   Run a piece of yard through the hole and hang from a tree.
